Privacy Policy
Effective July 10, 2026
This policy describes how the Chirp Timer iOS app, made by Aztec Software, LLC, handles information. We wrote it to be read, not skimmed past.
The short version:
- Chirp Timer has no accounts and no sign-in. We never ask for your name or email.
- Your timers and chirps are stored only on your device.
- The app shows banner ads served by Google AdMob and collects usage analytics through Google Firebase. Those services receive some device information, described below.
Information stored on your device
Everything you create in Chirp Timer — timers, chirp names, colors, sounds, and durations — is stored locally on your device. It is never transmitted to us, and we have no servers that could receive it. Deleting the app deletes this data.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
Chirp Timer displays banner ads served by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google may collect information from your device, including your IP address, general device information, and — only if you allow tracking in Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt — your device's advertising identifier (IDFA). If you decline tracking, the app requests non-personalized ads instead.

Analytics (Google Firebase)
We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used — for example, how often timers and chirps are created — so we can improve it. These events are associated with device-level identifiers by Google, but they are not tied to your name, email, or any account, because the app never collects those.
Your choices
- Tracking: decline the App Tracking Transparency prompt, or change your choice anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Ad consent (EEA/UK): if you're in a region that requires consent, the app shows a consent form on first launch, and a "Privacy Options" button in the app lets you change your choices at any time.
- Google ad personalization: adjust it at adssettings.google.com.
- Anything else: email us (below) to ask questions or exercise any data-protection rights that apply to you.
Children
Chirp Timer is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will address it.
Data retention and security
Aztec Software operates no servers that store your personal data. Information collected by Google for advertising and analytics is retained and secured according to Google's policies, linked above.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the update here with a new effective date.
